Bivins Village Phase II

For more than 55 years, the Bivins name has set the standard for excellence in the care of older residents and families. To further our commitment of enriching quality of life for residents living in the Texas Panhandle, the Mary E. Bivins Foundation is proud to introduce Phase II of Bivins Village, an independent living community for low-income senior citizens, ages 62 and older, in Amarillo, Texas.

Bivins Village Phase II is a three-story, 60-unit apartment building, adjacent to the current Bivins Village. Construction of the new building began in December of 2005, and is scheduled to be complete in December of 2006. Each apartment will have one bedroom with a large walk-in closet, large bathroom, living room and kitchen. A laundry facility and beauty salon are located on the property. Bivins Village offers a host of activities, scheduled transportation, and informational seminars. Accolade Home Care offers weekly wellness checks, and Amarillo National Bank provides banking services twice a month so that residents can cash checks, receive money orders, cashiers checks, and stamps.

Bivins Village opened its doors in August 2002 and has maintained a waiting list since attaining full occupancy. Bivins Village and Bivins Village Phase II are owned and operated by the Mary E. Bivins Foundation.
