Ministry Scholarship ProgramThe scholarship application process for the 2008-09 academic year is now closed. Please check back with us in January for the 2009-2010 scholarship application. Scholarship Purpose: The purpose of the Mary E. Bivins Foundation Religious Scholarship Program is to educate ministers to preach the Christian religion. Scholarships are provided for an undergraduate or graduate education leading to a Bachelors or Masters Degree in a field that prepares the student to preach the Christian religion. Priority will be given to students intending to serve as pulpit pastors upon graduation. Scholarship Criteria and Award:
Scholarship awards are based upon $1,000 per semester for those students classified as a freshman or sophomore, $2,000 per semester for those students classified as a junior or senior and $3,000 per semester for graduate students to be used for tuition, books, fees, and other expenses as necessary for college/university attendance. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, and the student is required to continue to meet all award criteria each semester and to complete an application annually.
