FoodNet

The FoodNet program was initiated in October of 2005. This program is a collaborative effort with the Panhandle Area Agency of Aging, the City of Amarillo, and the United Way. The design of this program is to ensure that lower income seniors receive healthy and nutritious meals.

All of the meals are produced in Bivins Memorial kitchen with the careful oversight of Chef Jimmy Hernandez. In the near future, all of the meals will be produced in our new state-of-the-art Culinary Center.

The program serves six congregate sites (Alamo Senior Center, Northwest Senior Center, Independence Village, Canyon Senior Center, Hilltop Senior Center, Winwood Village), along with eighty clients receiving home delivered meals.

For information regarding initiating a congregate site or enrollment of the program for home delivered meals, please contact us.
